Job summary

Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking an AI Machine Learning Engineer at Level 17 or 18 to design, deploy, and scale production ML and GenAI solutions in an enterprise environment. You will collaborate with data scientists, architects, and platform teams to deliver value using Databricks on Azure, MLOps, and CI/CD processes.

Hybrid work from Ottawa headquarters or Toronto/Montreal hubs with relocation support and a focus on responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AI/ML production experience for Level 17.
• 7+ years of AI/ML production experience for Level 18.
• Strong cloud experience with Databricks on Azure.
• Proven experience with MLOps, CI/CD, and data/model monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain production ML/GenAI assets and pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, platform, and security teams.
• Deploy and operate ML systems with monitoring and retraining processes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and IaC for ML workloads.
• Advance GenAI solutions with guardrails and governance in production.
• Own aspects of the AI lifecycle from development to production.
