Job summary

Best Buy Brampton is seeking a TV Tester to diagnose, test, and repair televisions and related electronics within our Geek Squad City environment. You will perform troubleshooting, document outcomes, and ensure products meet quality standards before processing.

This role suits hands-on, detail-oriented technicians with knowledge of TV technologies and repair processes. A flexible schedule with day shifts is provided, encouraging teamwork and precise workmanship.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience testing, diagnosing, or repairing televisions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills.
  • Knowledge of television technologies, electronic components, and repair processes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Test, diagnose, and repair a variety of television products and related electronic equipment.
  • Perform detailed fault determination and troubleshooting to identify product issues.
  • Complete repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting established quality standards.
  • Ensure a high rate of first-time repair completion through accurate diagnosis and testing.
  • Verify repaired units are fully functional and meet operational and quality requirements.
  • Conduct functional testing on repaired, returned, and refurbished televisions.
  • Complete and maintain repair records, testing documentation, and required paperwork accurately.
  • Accurately enter repair, testing, and inventory information into internal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, operational procedures, and company policies.
  • Identify potential security or process risks and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Obtain required repair parts from the parts group in a timely manner.
  • Return defective parts promptly for vendor processing and warranty claims.
  • Assist in tracking inventory movement and maintaining accurate records.
  • Safely perform material handling duties involving televisions, parts, and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to support operational goals and customer satisfaction.
