Job summary

TMX Group is seeking a Product Manager to lead Transfer Agency services from ideation to launch, shaping product strategy and client-facing features. You will collaborate across TSX Trust, IT, and business units to deliver scalable solutions and new revenue streams.

The role requires a university degree with relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and a customer-centric mindset. The position supports a hybrid working model in Canada, with emphasis on Toronto.

  • Manages onboarding, training, and vendor revenue sharing for issuers.
  • Collaborates with process architects to improve self-service tools.
  • Gathers and analyzes requirements across TSX Trust divisions.
  • Balances bespoke client needs with system capability limits.
  • Offers support to external clients across Transfer Agent products.
  • Contributes to marketing and education events for issuers.

The Product Manager participates in the creation and management of Transfer Agency Services new and or renovation products and services for listed issuers, from the idea stage to launch. This role provides support for the development/improvement of systems used by clients and internal staff in TSX Trust as well ongoing business support for the active products during their lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities
  • Maximizes ROI by ensuring product functions and features align with TSX Trust long-term goals.
  • Advocates for the customer to ensure the product is intuitive and solves a real pain point.
  • Research market trends, analyze competitors and talk to customers to create a product roadmap-high level blueprint of where the product is headed over the next 1-3 years.
  • Provides knowledge of business processes and technical capabilities to ensure IT teams have the information required to implement quality products that provide business value
  • Owns the product road map and keeper of product development prioritization logs and ensures alignment with business strategy
  • Generates product requirement documents/charter and/or user stories.
  • Analyses market and client needs to ideate new offerings and revenue streams.
  • Consults with process architects and business analysts to innovate self service tools and omni channels identifying new system features and improve overall user experience
  • Independently manages input from diverse groups of subject matter experts and translates it into product features
  • Gathers, reviews and analyzes business requirements from multiple business teams across TSX Trust division while maintaining a critical lens for improvements
  • Balances the needs of bespoke client needs and internal processes with the realistic capabilities of the applications or resources available to ensure both external users (clients, investors) and internal staff have a productive experience adopting and servicing new product/service offerings.
  • Provides technical support for external clients across Transfer Agent products.
  • Utilizes experience with end users to play key roles in the management of product defects.
  • Manages the products and services provided to the issuer clients - includes customer billing, onboarding, training and vendor revenue sharing.
  • Plays a key role in the marketing of current products and services to the issuers.
  • Plays a key role in the planning and implementation of education related events for the issuer clients
  • Utilizes research and analytical skills to improve on the Exchange’s educational offerings.

  • University degree with 2-3 years relevant experience

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000/year CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
