Insight Global is looking for a Product Owner to join our major banking client, starting off as a 12-month contract. This role is hybrid, 3 days per week onsite, Toronto, ON.

The Product Owner is responsible for organizing, preparing, and conducting various business technology activities related to the eTasks Portal and linked applications. This includes participating in Agile ceremonies, assisting with writing user stories, and representing the voice of the customer in decision-making.

This role will also assess training needs and collaborate with training managers to determine the appropriate delivery mechanisms for training content.

The Product Owner acts as the primary contact for the Line of Business regarding questions about the eTasks Portal, assists the Help Desk team in addressing user needs, and supports eTasks adoption activities.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all Agile ceremonies and support daily Agile team activities
• Support the line of business with refresher training as needed
• Review and provide feedback on eLearning modules for Commercial Lending tools
• Assist the Help Desk team in resolving user-raised issues
• Proactively identify issues and risks that may impede delivery of customer-focused enhancements
• Monitor and convert user feedback into actionable backlog items
• Ensure documentation and training materials are current (e.g., eTasks portal documentation, email repositories)
• Manage backlog: write, refine, and prioritize enhancement requests with oversight from the Senior Product Owner
• Oversee the delivery of product enhancements from start to finish, ensuring they meet client needs and preferences
• Review and accept or return user stories according to Agile standards and user needs

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-7 years of experience as a Product Owner
• Banking background with experience in commercial banking product launches, excellent communication skills, stakeholder management
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse groups
• Knowledge of Product Design, User Experience principles, Software delivery cycles, Agile delivery
• Analytical, detail-oriented, with follow-up skills for timely resolution
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Business acumen, understanding of business drivers in Commercial Banking and North American financial industry
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and complete projects successfully
• Strong writing and documentation skills
