What You’ll Do:
- As the Product Owner, you will be a creative problem-solver passionate about Canadian health and delivering top-notch customer-facing applications. You will work closely with our Specialty Health Network and Digital Health teams to gather business requirements, define solutions, and facilitate communication.
- Responsibilities include:
- Managing the product backlog through prioritization, grooming, writing user stories, and ensuring the development team remains unblocked and efficient.
- Understanding user problems and translating them into clear technical specifications for development teams.
- Assessing feature requests to eliminate non-essential features.
- Conducting feedback sessions to prioritize features delivering maximum value.
- Executing deliverables related to SHN's digital health strategy and participating in related meetings.
- Supporting project-based work and contributing to solution design, ensuring strategic alignment with SHN’s vision and building a digital health playbook.
- Engaging stakeholders to include diverse perspectives and voices.
- Understanding and improving the end-to-end customer experience.
- Developing and iterating on digital strategy, vision, and roadmap to support business P&L goals.
- Running feature prioritization sessions and collaborating with design and development teams to bring features to market.
- Measuring success metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Handling multiple tasks, including research and analysis of client, industry, and technical matters.
- Working with stakeholders to streamline digital health strategies and solutions for better efficiency and experience.
- Sharing best practices and supporting the spread of successful digital initiatives.
- Collecting user feedback and translating findings into product development.
- Promoting agile and product best practices and advocating for customer needs.
What you'll bring to this role:
- Interest in digital trends and willingness to learn new tools.
- Commitment to valuing diversity and working with diverse teams.
- Curiosity about modern technology and its organizational benefits.
- Relevant experience in consulting, professional services, or industry roles with strong communication skills.
- Experience in technology and IT domains, including IT governance, architecture, agile development, and certifications like Scrum Master, PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, is advantageous.
- Understanding of product management principles and methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly to non-technical audiences.
