Product Manager, Credit Card Applications

Looking to join a growing financial services team? Rogers Bank, a subsidiary of Canada's leading wireless, cable and media company, is expanding and seeking passionate individuals to develop and implement innovative financial solutions and experiences. The bank offers unique cash-back benefits and financing options for Rogers purchases using cutting-edge technology. Interested? Take the next step and consider this opportunity to make a meaningful impact with Rogers Bank.

At Rogers Bank, we're transforming our credit card acquisition platforms to create seamless digital experiences centered around our customers. With visionary leadership and a commitment to innovation and transformation, we aim to provide each member of our team with the autonomy to expertly craft their products. As a Product Manager – Credit Card Applications, you'll play a pivotal role in driving all stages of the process, from conceptualization to delivery, feature implementation, and optimization.

You'll take ownership of your product's key performance indicators (KPIs), manage your product backlog, and lead a multidisciplinary product team consisting of full-stack developers, back-end engineers, QA testers, designers, data analysts, and solution managers. You will also partner with Bank cross-functional teams including Credit Card products, Credit Risk, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Fraud, Technology, Operations & Data Analytics, and other Line of Business stakeholders from Wireless, Residential & Digital teams for prioritizing your roadmap based on business and customer needs.

What you'll do:

  • Challenge conventional approaches within the business, driving innovative solutions by thinking “outside the box” and ensuring best-in-class solution designs. Encourage and lead experimentation to measure and implement integrated, proven solutions across different customer segments.
  • Collaborate closely with the business and UX teams to research and validate assumptions, keeping our customers at the forefront by conducting experiments and analyzing results.
  • Actively engage in all agile ceremonies, ensuring delivery viability while optimizing the customer experience.
  • Maintain constant communication and convey the product vision effectively within your team and across the company.
  • Gather requirements, oversee design work, write, and prioritize user stories, and manage your team as a startup within a larger corporation.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new features.
  • Identify market opportunities and contribute to both the product vision and business strategy.
  • Regularly meet with stakeholders from sales, marketing, credit risk, fraud, data, engineering, and other Rogers Bank departments to gather requirements and update on the progress of new product releases.
  • Collect post-launch data and feedback, swiftly incorporating insights to adapt the product.
  • Invest in systems and processes alongside your team to establish world-class best practices.

What you have:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, overseeing at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch, particularly through agile methodologies.
  • Previous experience in the FinTech and/or Financial Services industry.
  • A customer-centric approach, consistently validating assumptions against genuine customer feedback and data.
  • Experience with web data analytics tools - Adobe Analytics and Application monitoring tools - Dynatrace.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex strategic and operational initiatives, navigating technical, operational, legal/policy, and business issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with an adeptness for understanding and leveraging data to evolve Rogers Bank's product roadmap.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to change, eager to learn, proactive in action, resilient in the face of failure, and persistent in making an impact.
  • Bold, tenacious, unafraid to challenge the status quo, supported by facts, data, and empirical research.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging storytelling that unites individuals toward a shared vision.
  • Proven experience in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and enhancing transparency.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in implementing and executing Agile principles.
  • Strong focus on technology and design, with a comprehensive understanding of the development process and overall UX/UI.
  • Willingness to be humble, admit areas of uncertainty, ask questions, and an eagerness to learn.
  • Experience in digital architecture, Front-end technologies, Backend applications, and Cloud-based systems is an asset.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner designation is an asset.
  • A drive to remain continuously motivated and excited about tackling new challenges.
