Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The User Compliance team is at the forefront of simplifying financial regulation for businesses worldwide. We build the infrastructure and tools that enable Stripe users to navigate the complex compliance landscape effortlessly. Our work spans the entire user lifecycle, from frictionless onboarding to ongoing compliance management.

Joining our team means shaping the future of financial compliance technology and directly impacting how millions of businesses interact with the global financial system. Your work will be crucial in making the internet economy more accessible, trustworthy, and efficient.

What you’ll do
Responsibilities
  • Define the strategy and roadmap for our compliance infrastructure, with a focus on creating scalable, user-friendly solutions that adapt to evolving global regulations
  • Act as the voice of the user in product and API designs, gathering direct feedback from customers and translating complex compliance requirements into intuitive user experiences
  • Collaborate with other product teams to understand requirements and incorporate them into our planning, ensuring a cohesive approach to compliance across Stripe's product ecosystem
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and automate compliance processes, reducing friction for users while maintaining rigorous standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to help users proactively manage their compliance obligations, turning a potential burden into a competitive advantage
  • Partner with legal and policy teams to stay ahead of regulatory changes and translate them into product requirements
Who you are
  • 8+ years in Product Management, with experience in building platform products and in serving both internal and external customers/stakeholders
  • Experience managing technical software products from kick-off to ship, particularly those involving complex systems
  • Consistent track record of leading ambitious and ambiguous 0-to-1 projects, demonstrating ability to navigate uncertainty and create structure
  • Strong stakeholder management including navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and influencing internal and external stakeholders across organizations and borders
  • Exceptional communications skills - you can summarize and express complex requirements in an accessible and precise manner, tailoring your message to diverse audiences from technical teams to C-level executives
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with B2B SaaS, particularly in building developer-facing products or APIs
  • Background in compliance and regulation in financial services, with an understanding of global regulatory landscapes
  • Experience working on an infrastructure platform team, with a focus on scalability and reliability
  • Track record of successfully launching products in multiple international markets
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and their application in technology products
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $146,400 - $219,600. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Stripe, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us.
