Job summary

Interac is seeking a Product Manager to support the RTR product strategy and operate across Product Operations, Technical Operations, and Business Operations. You will translate business, operational, and technical needs into clear requirements, service catalog items, and delivery outcomes, while coordinating participant onboarding and lifecycle management with Payments Canada and partner teams.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in product management, business operations, technology operations, payments, financial services, or a related role.
  • Experience supporting complex cross-functional programs with multiple internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of product management practices, operational readiness, service management, or technology delivery lifecycles.
  • Experience translating business problems and operational needs into requirements, process documentation, service models, and delivery plans.
  • Familiarity with ITSM practices such as incident management, problem management, change management, service request management, service catalogue management, and knowledge management.
  • Experience working with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Planview, or similar delivery and reporting platforms is an asset.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear updates, executive summaries, process documentation, and governance materials.

Responsibilities

  • Support the RTR product strategy and operating model across Interac Product Operations, Technical Operations, Business Operations, Payments Canada, and vendor partners.
  • Translating RTR business, operational, participant, and technical needs into clear requirements, service catalogue items, process flows, and delivery outcomes.
  • Supporting participant onboarding and lifecycle management, including coordination across Payments Canada, Interac Technical Operator teams, CSPs, service providers, and internal business stakeholders.
  • Helping define, validate, and operationalize RTR service request processes, including intake, prioritization, fulfillment routing, escalation paths, and alignment to ServiceNow workflows.
  • Supporting operational readiness activities across RTR milestones, including readiness criteria, go/no-go inputs, evidence collection, operational sign-offs, and closure of risks, blockers, and issues.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to define and maintain RTR operating procedures, including incident management, problem management, change management, service request management, IAM, participant onboarding, business support, reporting, and service catalogue management.
  • Partnering with Technology Operations, Security, Risk, Audit, Compliance, Finance, Legal, and VMO teams to ensure RTR processes are auditable, sustainable, and aligned to internal controls and contractual obligations.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of RTR operational documentation, including the Business Operations Manual, support plans, onboarding materials, training inputs, service catalogue documentation, and readiness reporting.
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure RTR capabilities, releases, changes, and operational processes are delivered in full, on time, and with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Preparing product, operational readiness, and performance updates for leadership, governance forums, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Supporting financial, commercial, and vendor management activities related to RTR, including budget alignment, billing process inputs, forecast validation, and vendor performance tracking.
  • Monitoring RTR operational performance, participant readiness, service request trends, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities to support steady-state operations.
  • Helping ensure RTR can operate reliably, compliantly, and sustainably as a national payments product, with clear governance, ownership, reporting, and continuous improvement practices.

Who You Will Work With:

The Product Manager will help translate business, operational, technical, and participant needs into clear requirements, roadmaps, service catalogue items, operating processes, and readiness outcomes. What You Will Do:

Supporting the RTR product strategy and operating model, including alignment across Interac Product Operations, Technical Operations, Business Operations, Payments Canada, and vendor partners.
