Job summary

Adescor in Strathroy, Ontario, seeks a Product Manager to lead the definition, development, and market success of next-generation industrial products. This on-site role reports to the General Manager and reflects ongoing investment in product innovation and growth.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, sales and service to align strategy with market opportunities and customer needs, driving product lifecycle results and customer value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience leading development of complex industrial products, automation systems, or engineered equipment.
  • Proven ability to translate customer requirements into productive product strategies.
  • Strong system-level understanding across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own product vision, positioning, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the complete product lifecycle from concept through launch.
  • Guide architecture decisions across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software disciplines.

The Opportunity

Adescor is seeking a Product Manager that will be responsible for leading the definition, development, and market success of our next generation of industrial products. This is a strategic leadership role with accountability for product outcomes across strategy, architecture, development, commercialization, and early market adoption.

This role in on-site position and reporting to the General Manager.

This is a newly created reflecting our continued investment in product innovation and long-term growth.

The final wage will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall qualifications.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Product Strategy & Definition
  • Define and own product vision, positioning, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Translate customer insights, market trends, and industry requirements into actionable product requirements and development priorities.
  • Balance commercial viability, technical feasibility, and long-term scalability when making product decisions.
  • Establish clear product requirements to drive alignment across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service teams.
End-to-End Product Development Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the complete product lifecycle, from concept development through launch and field adoption.
  • Guide critical system architecture decisions across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software disciplines.
  • Implement structured design reviews, validation activities, and performance testing to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Ensure development programs remain aligned to timing, budget, performance, and customer expectations.
Customer-Centric Innovation
  • Engage directly with customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand real-world application needs.
  • Drive product design decisions that improve usability, reliability, performance, and customer value.
  • Lead pilot deployments and leverage field feedback to support rapid iteration and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset throughout the product development process.
Product Development Excellence
  • Develop and implement standardized product development frameworks, governance, and best practices.
  • Strengthen organizational capability by improving consistency in product definition, execution, and launch processes.
  • Foster collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and service functions.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Market Launch & Product Performance
  • Ensure operational readiness across manufacturing, supply chain, and service functions before product launch.
  • Partner with commercial teams on product positioning, customer enablement, and launch strategies.
  • Monitor product performance in the field and lead rapid resolution of issues affecting customer satisfaction.
  • Support long-term product success through continuous product improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience leading the development of complex industrial products, automation systems, or engineered equipment.
  • Demonstrated success bringing new products from concept through commercialization and market adoption.
  • Strong system-level understanding across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software disciplines.
  • Proven ability to translate customer requirements into successful product strategies and technical solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance market opportunities, technical requirements, and operational considerations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working directly with customers, commercial teams, and external partners
  • Experience in industrial equipment, automation, manufacturing systems, or pipe processing technologies.
  • Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and integrated control system environments.
  • Experience supporting products in multi-region or global markets.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management, stage-gate methodologies, and product governance frameworks.
