Job description

As a Product Manager at CONFORMiT, you will be responsible for steering the product in the right direction, actively participating in defining the future, managing the product lifecycle end-to-end, and engaging with stakeholders in two-way communication. It is important to note that you do not manage the individuals implementing features or team capacities; you make decisions regarding the product and its priorities. Location: Saguenay (Québec) or Home Office (Canada or Worldwide).

Responsibilities

• Build an effective roadmap to properly prioritize important features.
• Take ownership of feature proposals and user issues, breaking them down into small iterations for development teams to work on.
• Strike a balance between new features, improvements, and fixes to ensure high speed and a reliable product.
• Consider business impact, return on investment, and other dimensions influencing decision-making.
• Vision
  • Contribute, maintain, and communicate the product vision.
  • Stay informed about innovation in your product domain.
• Product Lifecycle
  • Monitor end-to-end feature development, providing guidance and feedback to developers and designers, ensuring alignment.
  • Be the voice of the customer and users, as well as the subject matter expert for your responsible domain.
  • Contribute to documentation, blog articles, demos, and marketing materials for product features.
  • Collaborate with other product managers, UX, and developers on cross-functional features to build a unified application.
• Communication
  • Engage with stakeholders in two-way communication.
  • Assist sales, support, customer success, and marketing as the subject matter expert in your domain.
  • Regularly interact with users and engage with our communities.
  • Participate with analysts in product briefings and evaluations.
  • Work with the entire product team to share improvements and best practices.

Your Profile

Required Qualifications

• Experience in product management, in an agile context.
• Knowledge of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) or Environment Health and Safety (EHS) market.
• Strong technical skills: you understand how software is built, packaged, deployed, and operated.
• Passion for design and ergonomics.
• Highly independent and pragmatic.
• Excellent command of English.
• Ability to conduct research in a remote environment.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Experience working with Aha!, Jira, or equivalents.
• Good understanding of human-centered product design (ISO 9241-210).
