Job summary

lululemon Athletica seeks a Product Experience Testing Lead within the Global Product Experience Testing team to drive wear tests and provide actionable insights for product strategy. The role requires strong analytical ability, experience in apparel testing, and the ability to lead complex projects across multiple teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, Textile/Apparel Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in product testing, product development, operations, consumer/product insights, or related field, preferably within apparel or consumer products.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to mentor and upskill others.
  • Experience with Qualtrics is an asset.

The Product Technical Solutions team is within the Product Integrity and Quality function of Supply Chain. We deliver technical solutions to mitigate product and process integrity risks by designing our performance standards, laboratory testing, on-body testing, and providing technical expertise and advisory services.

The Product Experience Testing team defines, governs, and executes on-body product experience testing standards and programs, in-field, for all markets, as informed by global and enterprise strategy. We recommend technical solutions to mitigate product and process integrity risks, while providing on-body testing and advisory services to evaluate the integrity of our products. We ensure our products and processes are meeting internal and external expectations of performance.

core responsibilities

As the Product Experience Testing Lead within the Global Product Experience Testing team, you will be responsible for business critical, complex innovation-driven wear tests, partnering closely with Product Innovation, Raw Materials Innovation, Advanced Concepts, Advanced Accessories, and special projects amongst others. These tests require different approached to validation under real-world conditions. Employing novel testing methods and technologies that foster deeper collaboration with Product and Raw Materials Innovation in search of more precise insights and breakthroughs.

  • Generate predictive insights on product ratings to guide future product development and inform major launches. Collaborate directly with product teams, including hands-on evaluation of garments when creating wear test plans and reviewing worn samples, in partnership with the relevant Product Integrity and Commercialization functions.
  • Gather and present qualitative and quantitative insights. Analyze wear test results to identify patterns across product categories, and translate findings into actionable recommendations aligned with Voice of Guest feedback to inform product teams and support strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to the execution of complex and innovative wear tests that inform annual product strategy and enterprise brand campaigns. Support multi-season initiatives, core category resets, and high-stakes product bets by providing critical input, coordination, and analysis.
  • Partner with department manager on the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of wear test and wear tester systems. Collaborate to ensure seamless integration between front-end user interfaces and back-end databases, working closely with technical and product teams to maintain functionality, optimize processes, and enhance user experience.
  • Partner with department manager in Wear Test Survey and Report Standardization. Design and maintain a standardized database of wear test surveys that satisfy the design intent of the product being tested. Ensure test surveys and formats are relevant to the tests that are being executed, and comply with regulatory, legal and other product integrity requirements. Leverage historical data sets and insights to design the survey.
qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, Textile/Apparel Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in product testing, product development, operations, consumer/product insights, or a related field, preferably within apparel, footwear, sporting goods, or consumer products, with hands-on understanding of product and testing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to mentor and upskill others.
  • Experience with Qualtrics is an asset.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this positionis from $104,600-137,300 annually ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
