Vuteq Canada Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to join our Woodstock team. You will support the Advanced Development Team by planning and leading design and development of customer projects and R&D of new materials and technologies.

The role involves prototyping, testing, benchmarking, and presenting findings to managers and OEM engineering teams. Significant growth opportunities and a collaborative environment are offered in Woodstock, Ontario.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or similar field or successful completion of a minimum three-year advanced engineering diploma from a college is considered an asset.
• 3-5 years' experience coordinating engineering projects to ensure compliance with customer standards
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA
• MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Some injection molding knowledge and experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Support product research and development activity and manage projects through to completion
• Develop new materials, processes based on our customers' needs and trends
• Attend development project meetings and report target and status
• Complete technical presentations both internally and to external customers
• Development projects: create design of experiments, contacting vendors to acquire equipment and materials, perform tests and trials of designs
• Prototyping: analyze data received from customers, developing, and building of the prototype
• Benchmarking: researching relevant competitors' products and documenting findings
• Testing: study customer standards and perform tests to specifications
• Machine development: research new technologies and coordinate with vendors
• Analyze existing automotive interior parts for safety, performance, and feasibility
• Work following PDCA flow
• Support and maintain environmental initiatives
• Ensure team member compliance with all environmental regulations, policies and industry standards
