Vuteq Canada Inc. is seeking a Jr. Craftsmanship team member to lead development of soft wrapped automotive interior components. You will analyze OEM feedback and drive new technologies for soft trim in collaboration with the VTCA Development team.

The role involves operating sewing machines, wrapping skin materials, and using CAD tools to review shapes and generate 2D drawings, with training provided.

Formación

• Minimum Grade 12 or two-year college diploma is asset.
• Experience with sewing or wrapping is an asset (professional or hobby).
• General mechanical inclination and knowledge of automotive interior manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Operate sewing machines to develop decorative and functional stitches.
• Hand wrap skin materials (Leather, Vinyl, Cloth, Suede) to substrates with adhesives/staples.
• Review new shapes with CAD tools during design and development phase.
• Create/update 2D drawings for skin patterns using CAD tools.
• Conduct material testing of soft trims using lab tools and document results.
• Support prototyping and technical analysis of new shapes for customer feedback.
• Collaborate with manufacturing facilities to share proposed mass production processes.
