Job summary

Jobtailor in Canada is seeking a product development and strategy professional to execute initiatives from concept to implementation, including client/advisor research, business casing, and go-to-market oversight.

You will lead cross-functional teams, translate data into revenue opportunities, and communicate insights to senior leadership with a focus on design thinking, user empathy, and risk awareness.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in financial services, preferably in product management or strategy.
• Experience with financial and product performance analysis; knowledge of Canadian retail insurance is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Strong quantitative skills and data visualization abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication with exposure to senior leadership.
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with client research methodologies including design thinking, survey design and focus-group facilitation.
• Strong relationship management across the organization.
• Understanding of compliance and risk management aligned with Sun Life's framework.
• Change-driven mindset and adaptability to drive business objectives.
• Bilingualism (French, English) required for Quebec interactions.

Responsibilities

• Product Development – execute on product development initiatives from concept to implementation, including Client / advisor research, concept development and validation, business casing, oversight of build and go-to-market, and value realization
• Client / Advisor Research – conduct qualitative and quantitative research on industry and market trends, and bring forward the Voice of the Client and Voice of the Advisor
• Data-Driven Analysis – analyze internal and external data to identify trends and opportunities to increase revenue and improve operations
• Project Management – lead cross-functional teams to drive decisions and recommendations with discipline
• Communication – present findings to diverse audiences in a clear, compelling way
