Job summary

Jobtailor in Canada seeks a seasoned Product Owner to own the product vision, roadmap, and value delivery across ceremonies. You will translate business needs into actionable technology requirements, define acceptance criteria, and align stakeholders with measurable outcomes.

Collaborate with business analysts, IT teams, and external partners to manage delivery, risk, and modernization initiatives within the savings and financial services sector. SAFe experience is a strong asset.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of experience as a business-side Product Owner or in a similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Systems and Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
Ability to understand user needs, maximize team value delivery, and ensure solutions meet user expectations.
Ability to translate business needs into actionable technology requirements and communicate technology impacts to business stakeholders.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
Rigor and ability to work in a complex, evolving transformation environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the savings, insurance, or financial services industry considered a strong asset.
Knowledge of SAFe methodology and modern technologies including Cloud, APIs, Microservices, and Domain-Driven Design considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Understand, present, and simplify the business value of the product.
Participate in product definition and business requirement breakdown with stakeholders.
Own the product vision, roadmap, and content presentations across ceremonies.
Provide business clarifications to help teams identify technology solutions, including user stories, estimations, and sequencing.
Establish acceptance criteria and ensure they are met.
Build, maintain, and evolve the roadmap for assigned assets, including business requirements, bug fixes, operationalization, security, and compliance.
Identify and collaboratively resolve roadmap risks and issues.
Work with business analysts, business architects, IT teams, and an external partner to manage, optimize, and evolve external delivery teams.
Contribute to modernization and transformation of the individual savings sector with multidisciplinary Fusion Teams.
