Job description

Sundays was founded in Vancouver in 2019 by four friends with deep roots in furniture and retail. We design West Coast modern pieces: warm, functional, built to last. We sell direct to customers across the US and Canada, online and through showrooms in New York, Pasadena, Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary. Our sister brand Hetta takes a more refined, traditional approach, while upholding the same commitment to quality.

As a Product Development Intern / Co-op, you’ll support the Product Development team across day-to-day product development and product operations, helping keep product information, imagery, samples, and documentation organized and moving forward. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, curious about furniture and design, and interested in how thoughtful processes and emerging tools like AI can support product development.

This role is ideally suited to a student seeking a four-month co-op or internship placement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Product Development team with day-to-day product development and product operations activities.
  • Collect, organize, review, and process product imagery and digital assets, including basic image editing and preparation for final review.

  • Review assembly instructions and prepare feedback for final approval.
  • Maintain Product Development trackers, Miro boards, SharePoint files, and other team documentation.
  • Track sample and product development statuses, ETAs, and outstanding information, flagging delays or missing details to the team.
  • Conduct product and competitor research, including monitoring new launches, collections, collaborations, and industry trends.
  • Support AI image generation and other AI-enabled Product Development workflows.
  • Assist with drafting, organizing, and maintaining product tech packs.
  • Maintain physical and digital product and material resources, including the swatch library.
  • Support ad-hoc Product Development projects, presentations, and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve repetitive Product Development workflows through better processes, tools, and AI.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, product data, and digital file management.
  • Comfortable learning and using AI tools as part of creative and operational workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or elevate something for review.
  • Curious about furniture, design, consumer products, and the product development process.

What you’ll gain:

  • Hands‑on experience working with product imagery, specifications, samples, product data, and development documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Developers and cross‑functional teams.
  • An understanding of how products move from concept and development through to launch.
  • Practical experience using AI and digital tools within a Product Development environment.
  • Opportunities to take ownership of recurring Product Development workflows and contribute to process improvements.
WHAT WE OFFER:
