Job summary

MaintainX is seeking a Product Design Manager to lead a team of product designers who craft AI-powered, user-friendly workflows for our maintenance and asset management platform. You will set direction, grow talent, and partner with Product and Engineering to ensure design drives outcomes beyond merely shipping screens.

You will lead with strategic thinking, build trust, and advocate for design quality across multi-surface experiences, influencing executives and engineering leaders daily.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms.
• 1–3 years of experience managing product designers.
• Strong product thinking and craft judgment.
• You build trust through how you show up and lead with confidence.
• You care about AI-powered product experiences and how to use AI tools to improve work.
• Expert level of English, both spoken and written, required for leading multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Own design quality across your team’s product areas for web and mobile.
• Lead and grow a team of 4-6 product designers; manage hires, 1:1s, and feedback.
• Translate product strategy into focused design execution; set a clear team vision.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leads; align on priorities and unblock delivery.
• Raise the craft bar; contribute to design critiques and invest in the design system.
• Lead your team in adopting AI tools to accelerate design work and improve output quality.
