Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a Produce Manager to coach and develop staff, drive customer loyalty, and manage budgets, labour costs, inventory, and merchandising while upholding company programs and safety standards.

You will lead the team, ensure exceptional product knowledge, oversee stock rotation, presentation, and compliance with OH&S, food safety, and store policies, while aiming for sales and margin targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of retail store experience (produce experience preferred).
• High School Diploma.
• Total store and department operations knowledge.
• Experience reading and analyzing financial reports and developing budgets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Above-average communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Produce department operations and staff performance.
• Coach, motivate, and develop team to strengthen customer loyalty.
• Manage department budgets, labour costs, and inventory control.
• Ensure product presentation, rotation, and markdowns meet company standards.
