Job summary

Summerhill Market in Canada is seeking an energetic, detail‑oriented individual to join our Sherwood team in the produce department, blending customer service with hands‑on food production. You will cut, portion, bag, label, and package fresh fruits and vegetables, stock attractive displays, monitor freshness, and uphold food safety and store standards.

Entry-level roles begin at minimum wage, with pay negotiable by experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, full, and visually appealing displays.
• Monitor product freshness, quality, and shrink.
• Wash, trim, cut, peel, and prepare fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Portion, weigh, bag, package, and label produce for sale.
• Complete daily production while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Support merchandising and seasonal displays.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing backroom inventory.
• Keep production and prep areas clean and sanitary.
• Follow all food safety and store standards.

Now we’re looking for an energetic, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in fresh, beautiful displays and enjoys hands-on food production to join our Sherwood team. This role combines traditional produce responsibilities with daily production, including cutting, portioning, bagging, and packaging fresh fruits and vegetables.

What you’ll do
