Job summary

Longo's is seeking a Produce Assistant Department Manager – Full Time to lead the Produce team and support the Produce Manager in daily operations.

You will motivate staff, manage inventory, and ensure exceptional customer service, while upholding food safety and company policies in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a produce department with solid product knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with team members and customers.
• Ability to lead, coach, motivate and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

This is your opportunity to advance your career in a leadership role. As the Assistant Produce Department Manager, you will assist the Produce Manager to ensure that the department is prepared for daily operations.

What you’ll do:

• - Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency

Work Environment:

• - Work is performed in a store retail environment
• - Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends
• - Travel is required to support off-site events
