Our client a leading financial institution inDowntown Torontois looking for aProcurement Manager – Proficient to prepare contractual agreements using current company templates. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

• Forecasting, planning, and correctly assessing needs for goods and services to project stock levels, managing budgets and preparing reports
• Liaising with suppliers and following up with suppliers concerning delivery times
• Networking and negotiating with suppliers to ensure price adjustments and access to best costs. Research new suppliers
• Management of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process including review of tenders
• Follow market trends
• Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with company policies
• Liaising with internal business partners and external suppliers
• Negotiating with suppliers to secure best terms and pricing for the company

Must-Have Skills:

• 2-4 years of previous experience with contracting best practices, business decision-making, in a Contract Specialist context with increasing scope of responsibility

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Applicable Contract Management, Procurement, Legal experience and/or certification
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. iValua, Coupa, Ariba, etc.)
• Finance and budgeting experience
• Experience in a financial institution
• Familiarity and experience with Professional Services
• Familiarity and experience with IT services

Soft Skills Required:

Education: Post-Secondary degree/certification in logistics, business administration, law, purchasing and supply chain management or equivalent working experience
