Job summary

DSJ Global seeks a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, and procurement execution across multiple sites in Canada. You will partner with category leadership to implement strategies and drive value through effective contracting.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in procurement, strong stakeholder management, and a record of cross-functional collaboration in asset-intensive environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, category management, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement processes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement procurement strategies in partnership with category leadership to support business objectives.
  • Translate sourcing and category plans into actionable procurement initiatives.
  • Manage the operational and tactical procurement of goods and services to meet cost, quality, and service expectations.
  • Oversee contract implementation and ensure compliance with internal standards and policies.
  • Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive accountability through ongoing performance reviews and improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize sourcing strategies, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand business requirements and align procurement activities with organizational priorities.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and ensure sourcing decisions support operational goals.
  • Communicate procurement plans, risks, and opportunities effectively to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement best practices.
  • Analyze spend and supplier data to drive informed decision-making and cost savings.
  • Promote compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
