Job summary

Health Association Nova Scotia (HANS) in Bedford, NS is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to provide day-to-day operational and administrative support for group purchasing, preferred suppliers, and procurement programs. You’ll coordinate orders, maintain product information, and communicate with external stakeholders while supporting purchasing systems in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in business administration or related field.
• Minimum three years of administrative coordination and order management experience.
• Experience with procurement, supply chain, or purchasing coordination is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and professional interaction with external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Shopify and purchasing platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end purchasing, including PO creation, submission, tracking, and follow-up.
• Provide order, shipment, and delivery updates to external stakeholders.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding backorders, delays, and discrepancies.
• Identify alternative products when items are unavailable and communicate options.
• Respond to inquiries related to orders, products, and purchasing programs.
• Maintain accurate product listings and procurement information in Shopify and other systems.
• Support Finance in resolving PO and invoice discrepancies by verifying details with suppliers.
