Job summary

BBA Consultants in Canada is seeking an intermediate procurement advisor to support procurement activities across mining, heavy industry and energy projects. You will work with project teams and stakeholders to meet client needs, executing end-to-end procurement and contributing to supplier negotiations.

With a focus on continuous improvement and compliance, you will help manage RFPs, evaluations and contract negotiations, while mentoring teams and sharing knowledge across offices and regions.

Qualifications

• Relevant university or technical education (engineering, administration, logistics or supply chain)
• At least five years of project procurement experience
• Experience in heavy industry, mining/metals or energy sectors
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Advanced English skills for collaboration with other BBA offices and clients
• Advanced French skills for collaboration with Québec offices
• Asset: international project procurement experience
• Asset: logistics and transportation experience

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end procurement process
• Oversee requests for proposals, commercial evaluations and contract negotiations
• Help prepare award recommendations and obtain required approvals
• Support project teams with supplier and contractual issues
• Help manage claims and contractual disputes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of practices and systems
