Job description

As a Procurement Administrator, reporting to Procurement Director, Services, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement team in various administrative tasks related to purchasing goods and services for the organization. Your role will involve coordinating with suppliers/contractors, maintaining procurement records, assisting in the procurement process, and ensuring timely delivery of materials or services.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in procurement administration and gaining valuable experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Procurement Process: Support procurement team members in sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating prices to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services (contractors).
  • Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to place orders, follow up on deliveries, and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
  • Purchase Order Management: Generate and manage purchase orders accurately, ensuring all necessary information is included and maintained in the internal proprietary system.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain procurement records and documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices, in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Data Entry: Enter procurement data into databases or spreadsheets accurately.
  • Support Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, operations, and logistics to facilitate smooth procurement processes and timely delivery of materials.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
