The Project

This major national rail programme is focused on delivering a modern, electrified high‑speed corridor that will strengthen connectivity between key urban centres. The scheme aims to significantly reduce journey times, enhance passenger capacity, and support long term decarbonisation goals. Development is progressing toward phased delivery over the next decade.

Leads category teams to deliver strategic objectives, building strong relationships with executive and client stakeholders. Shapes and implements end‑to‑end strategies, overseeing workstreams and initiatives to drive high‑quality, timely outcomes. Provides clear direction through others, ensuring targets are consistently achieved and organisational goals are met.

You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Leads category management and provides clear strategic direction.
  • Builds and maintains strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Guides teams with effective structures, processes and capabilities.
  • Conducts robust due diligence and market analysis.
  • Drives process, performance and commercial value creation.
  • Develops and embeds strategic plans through others.
  • Manages performance, talent development and coaching.
  • Supports net‑zero goals through proactive carbon management.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Experience delivering major rail or high‑speed programmes, ideally within the design or early set up stages.
  • Strong commercial, tender and negotiation expertise at executive level.
  • Proven project delivery with construction and market knowledge.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical tools.
  • Degree educated; CIPS or equivalent industry qualifications preferred.
Note

The estimated salary for this position is $125,000 - 155,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
