Job summary

Puresource Corporation is seeking a capsule filling operator to support the packaging line. The role involves weighing and blending materials, operating processing machines, and adjusting settings to maintain speed and quality of capsule filling operations.

Responsibilities include reading job tickets, performing in-process checks, inspecting finished goods for defects, and ensuring compliance with safety, GMP and SQF requirements.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma required.
• 1-2 years of experience in the food industry is an asset.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Effectively communicate in both written and verbal.
• The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50lbs safely.

• Run machine and monitor for defects or machine malfunction
• Inspects finish goods for any defects
• Performs in-process checks regularly
• Performs basic trouble shooting and make adjustments as needed
• Comply with safety, GMP and SQF requirements
• Read job tickets to determine machine adjustments and material requirement; sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template
• Read and follow instructions for capsule filling operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required qualifications, education, experience, training, skills, background, certifications:

• Highschool Diploma
• 1-2 years of experience, working in the food industry is considered an asset
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Effectively communicate in both written and verbal
• Ability to work through and problem solve issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50lbs safely
