Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain and promote an active and effective plant safety program, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and practices.
2. Maintain and develop processes to increase machine efficiencies and improve profits.
3. Provide overall process design and measures for improvement of manufacturing, increasing productivity and reducing manufacturing costs.
4. Continuously adjust and monitor plastic manufacturing equipment to ensure consistent and efficient production.
5. Develop and implement strategies to improve material yield.
6. Execute color changes in the production process efficiently and accurately.
7. Collaborate with Maintenance and Production on the implementation of new systems and processes to limit the recurrence of non-conforming products.
8. Monitor production processes for improvement, identifying areas for enhancement.
9. Track and measure all production improvement processes with the Plant Engineer.
10. Propose and implement improvements to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), focusing on reducing cycle times and improving throughput.
11. Maintain and repair process equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
12. Conduct machine troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly.
13. Assist the Maintenance or Technical Manager to ensure adherence to the Preventive Maintenance Program.
14. Perform routine repairs on equipment and communicate the need for major repairs to the maintenance team.
15. Ensure all processes and products meet established quality standards and specifications.
16. Test materials and products for quality, ensuring adherence to standards.
17. Assist the Plant Engineer as required for New Product Qualification, focusing on maintenance vs. process engineering efforts.
18. Provide input on new jobs and running in new molds.
19. Assist in training other technical and production personnel as needed.
20. Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all personnel, support departments, and management levels.

Education

• Technical Certificate or Associate Degree
• Refrigeration Certification is an asset.

Years of Experience

• 7+ years plastic processing experience is an asset.

Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $1.00 - $999,999,999.00. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $0.00 to $0.00. Offers may vary based on market data and other factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. If wages are equal, the starting rate is the same for all applicants. The starting rate does not reflect future increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
