We are currently seeking a M&E Tooling Technician to join our Boart Longyear team in Sudbury, ON. The position is remote, and will require frequent travel to customer sites (Company Truck is provided). The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a passion for diamond product and exploration tooling seeking to play a key role in driving sales and customer satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel regularly within the Canadian region to engage with customers, understand their needs, and support sales initiatives.
- Sales Experience: Confident interpersonal skills for effective one-on-one customer interactions. Previous sales experience is desirable, showcasing the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical understanding of the core drilling process and the products used within it. Knowledge of exploration tooling and diamond products is essential for success in this role.
- Drilling Expertise: Previous experience in drilling and any related training roles is highly regarded. A background in the industry will contribute to a quick and effective integration into the team.
- Team Collaboration: A team-focused approach is crucial, as the role involves working as a supportive member for the complete region. Collaboration with sales and support teams is essential for achieving common goals.
- Report Preparation and Presentation Skills: Ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and deliver presentations to customers. Clear communication of technical information is key to facilitating understanding and decision-making.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft tools, including PowerPoint and Excel. The ability to use these tools effectively is important for creating presentations, reports, and managing data.

Responsibilities- Sales Support: Collaborate with the Canadian Sales Management Team to boost diamond product and exploration tooling sales. Be a crucial part of the team working towards achieving sales targets.
- Strategy Development: Assist in the formulation and execution of strategies to acquire new customers. Contribute to the growth of our customer base through innovative approaches.
- Customer Relationship Management: Work closely with existing exploration tooling customers to enhance performance, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Proactively identify opportunities to expand business relationships.
- Market Intelligence: Provide valuable market feedback on competitor activities and market share. Stay informed about industry trends to contribute to informed decision-making.
- Product Development: Collaborate with the Product Management team in the development and testing of new products. Contribute your technical expertise to ensure the success of innovative tooling solutions.
- Customer Service Support: Support internal Customer Service Representatives by offering guidance and advice in processing customer orders for diamond products and tooling. Ensure a seamless and efficient order fulfillment process.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare and issue technical reports for customer visits and new product tests. Communicate technical information effectively to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
