Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking an Assistant Superintendent, Process Plant for its Meadowbank complex in Canada. You will report to the Process Plant Superintendent and lead the department, ensuring safe operations and environmentally responsible practices to meet production goals.

Qualifications include a metallurgical engineering degree and 10+ years in a large mining process plant, plus strong knowledge of mining regulations and proficient MS Office use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience managing a large and complex mining process plant.
• Thorough knowledge of efficient mining practices, procedures, and regulations.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Report to the Process Plant Superintendent and uphold safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate maintenance and operations to meet departmental objectives sustainably.
• Coach and develop the leadership team.
• Analyze, approve, and implement KPIs for the department.
• Manage production and supply of raw material to processes.
• Review staffing, development, and training of supervisory and operating personnel.
• Monitor environmental control systems for regulatory compliance.
• Oversee investigations of safety incidents and implement improvements.
• Perform other duties as required.
