Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Supervisor, Auxiliary at Meadowbank Complex in Canada. Reporting to the Mine General Supervisor, you will lead the mining auxiliary crews and ensure safety and alignment with company values.

You will plan shifts, manage waste dumps, stockpiles, pit roads and equipment fueling, and foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement across a multicultural site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 2+ years in a leadership position.
• 5+ years in the mining industry.
• Experience in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and plan large-scale operations.
• Hold or obtain Level 2 Supervisor Certification as per Mining Act.
• Hold or obtain a valid first aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mining auxiliary crews.
• Support mining production; manage waste dumps, ore stockpiles, pit roads and floors, pit wall (scaling) and fueling.
• Plan and organize shifts to meet objectives safely and efficiently.
• Ensure health and safety of crew; conduct safety meetings and inspections.
• Coach and develop relief supervisors; chair daily line-up meetings.
• Review time-entry sheets for payroll; ensure procedures meet regulations.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Mine General Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

Represent and respect Agnico Eagle’s company values, pillars, standards, and code of conduct;

Supervise mining auxiliary crews;

Responsible for supporting mining production, the Auxiliary Supervisor will be responsible for the waste dumps, ore stockpiles, pit roads and floors, pit wall (scaling) and equipment fueling.

Plan and organisethe shifts, taking several factors into account frommultiple sources of information, to achieve optimal performance and meet daily objectives, safely and as planned.

Responsiblefor the health and safety of your crew (work cards, inspections, safety meetings, etc.).

Coach and support direct reporters in their daily tasks and using the Supervision Formula;

Identify, coach, and develop relief supervisors;

Prepare and chair the daily line-up meetings to assess the shift safety and communicate specific instructions to the operators for the shift planning;

Review and approve time entry sheet to send to payroll;

Verify that all practices and procedures are performed with respect to the definedregulations.

Performall otherduties as requestedby the Management Team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

High school diploma.

A minimum of two (2) recent years of experience in a leadership position.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Mining industry.

Experience working in a multicultural environment (diversity management).

Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team (teamwork and trust building).

Ability to plan and organize large-scale operations.

Strong leadership and good interpersonal skills are important.

Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment and its challenges.

Hold or being able to obtain a Level 2 Supervisor Certification, as per the Mining Act.

Hold or being able to obtain a valid first aid certificate.

Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule:

Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days of transportation and rest.

Accommodation and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
