Job summary

Cyient in Longueuil, QC, is seeking a Technical SME for the Torque Management System (TMS). This is an on-site role with travel to various sites up to 50%.

You will act as SME across assembly sites, manage inventory of TMS controllers and tools, develop guides, drive continuous improvement, monitor Andon KPIs, and support production deployment. Occasional other duties may be requested as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in IT systems.
• Technical knowledge of torque systems is a plus.
• Mechanical Engineering background is an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects.
• Strong IT problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to develop relationships with internal and external teams.
• Good decision-making and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and act as a change agent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for the Torque Management System (TMS) across all assembly sites.
• Manage the inventory of TMS controllers and tools; track licenses.
• Create documentation and "Cookbooks" for TMS systems.
• Collaborate with TMS governance and support long-term vision.
• Lead multiple initiatives for continuous improvement of integration systems (TMS, induction heating, etc.).
• Serve as the point of contact for TMS Andon systems; monitor KPIs and apply corrective actions.
• Participate in TMS testing through to production implementation.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Job description

The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday and exclusively on-site.Travel will be required to various sites, including Mirabel, Toronto and Lethbridge which could be up to 50%.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Act as a technical expert (Subject Matter Expert SME) for the Torque Management System (TMS) across all assembly sites.
• Manage the inventory of TMS controllers and tools. Ensure systems are updated to the latest version and track the number of licenses.
• Ensure the implementation of best practices, documentation, and the creation of "Cookbooks" (guides) for TMS systems.
• Collaborate with TMS governance and support the long-term vision.
• Manage multiple initiatives for continuous improvement of integration systems such as TMS, induction heating, and others.
• Serve as the point of contact for TMS Andon systems. Monitor performance indicators (quality, productivity, efficiency, etc.) and apply appropriate measures and solutions.
• Participate in and conduct TMS testing through to production implementation.
• Perform various other tasks as required.
