Job summary

Universal Rail Solutions seeks a Process Operator to support daily operations at our Fort Saskatchewan facility. You will work under the Shift Engineer, performing hands-on tasks to maintain safe and efficient plant operations.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, safety-driven, and able to operate material handling systems while collaborating with a small, skilled team. Competitive pay and strong safety culture are offered.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to plant alarms.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical capability to perform all job tasks.
  • Competence in the use and care of tools and equipment related to plant operations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation trades.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor plant performance from the field and communicate with the Lead Hand to meet daily operational and loading requirements.
  • Conduct and document preventive maintenance activities throughout the plant.
  • Support railcar loading and switching activities.
  • Operate material handling systems and assist with Devco Wet Prilling.
  • Work with liquid sulphur degassing and H2S scrubbing systems.
  • Assist with truck offloading.
  • Operate equipment including frontend loaders, skid steers, and RCM units.
  • Perform caretaking and minor maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Respond to plant alarms and troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

WhatYou’llDo
