Job description

Responsibilities

1. Lead the Process Engineering department in our production facility.
2. Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
3. Develop and implement process control strategies to enhance production efficiency.
4. Oversee the testing and delivery/installation of new production equipment.
5. Develop and update the layout of new and existing equipment.
6. Collaborate with design engineers to integrate new technologies into current operations.
7. Conduct root cause analysis for process failures and implement corrective actions.
8. Manage the process to maintain and update work center instructions.
9. Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
10. Design and oversee the installation of industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
11. Work with Robotics systems to automate processes where applicable.
12. Continuously improve new/existing equipment & developing/verifying new equipment and layout.
13. Develop and conduct studies on production equipment.
14. Maintain facility stoppages, rework, and action plans in a timely manner.
15. Participate in continuous improvement cost savings program & continuous improvement program.

Requirements

1. 10 years of progressive experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
2. College Diploma or University Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
3. Proficient in Lean manufacturing methodologies.
4. Demonstrated background in Mechanical engineering principles.
5. Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
6. Understanding of Robotics applications in manufacturing environments.
7. Proficient in design software packages.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to process optimization.
9. Good knowledge of production reporting systems and MRP in a manufacturing environment.
10. Excellent problem-solving techniques and methods.
