Job summary

Fluor Canada invites new graduates to join its Process Engineering team as EITs, contributing to design and optimization of major projects. You will work on heat and material balances, process simulations, and equipment data alongside experienced engineers.

Graduates in Chemical Engineering, 2026/2027, with exposure to process simulation tools and MS Office will fit well. This role is based in Calgary and offers a path to leadership in engineering management.

Qualifications

• Graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering in 2026/2027.
• Familiarity with computer applications such as process simulation programs, spreadsheets, and word processing would be an asset.

• Develop Process Flow Diagrams.

Job Description

Process EIT Responsibilities

• Prepare heat and material balances
• Prepare utility balances
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams
• Prepare equipment data sheets
• Hydraulic calculations
• Develop Piping and Instrument Diagrams
• Specify instrumentation process data
• Establish relief systems
• Participate in safety reviews such as HAZOP's (hazard and operability studies).
• Assist with equipment cost estimates

Career Paths

• Develop general technical and procedural skills to become a Lead Process Engineer
• Develop technical skills for a specific subject and become a Subject Matter Expert
• Branch into Engineering Management or Project Management

Basic Job Requirements
