Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Calgary is seeking a New Grad Electrical EIT to join the Electrical Engineering team. You will develop power system diagrams, perform studies, and support RFQ/MR processes while engaging with vendors and field assignments.

Graduate with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering in 2026/2027 is required. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential in Fluor’s fast-paced, safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and expected graduation in 2026/2027.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
• Familiarity with power system concepts and electrical design practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical power system single line diagrams, schematics, substation layouts, and specifications.
• Perform power system studies and calculations.
• Handle RFQ and MR packages and participate in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
• Coordinate with vendors to collect data and footprints for equipment.
• Contribute to engineering work packages for electrical systems and support field activities.

We are looking for New Grad Electrical EIT’s to join our Electrical Engineering team!

Electrical EIT Responsibilities:

• Developing electrical power system single line diagrams, schematics, substation layouts, and specifications.
• Performing power system studies and calculations
• Handling Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Material Requisition (MR) packages
• Involved with Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and communicating with vendors to collect data and footprints for equipment
• Working on Engineering work packages for electrical systems
• Attending factory acceptance testing of electrical equipment and opportunities for field assignments.

Career Paths:

• Develop into Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for complete Engineering and Design.
• Develop into a technical Subject Matter Expert with the Company.
• Develop into Engineering Managers on projects directing entire Engineering efforts or they can develop into Project Engineers and Project Managers.

Basic Job Requirements

• Graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2026/2027.
