  • Own process engineering activities from basic design through commissioning.
  • Perform and review process equipment and line sizing calculations, including pressure drop calculation, conductance calculation, heat and material balance and chemical reaction kinetics calculation.
  • Coordinate process engineering activities with mechanical, electrical, controls, safety, and operations disciplines.
  • Provide engineering guidance, mentoring, and day‑to‑day support to engineers and designers.
  • Review external vendor’s and subcontractor’s process related calculation.
  • Support HAZOPs, design verification, and engineering risk assessments.

  • Coordinate activities to meet project schedules and objectives.
  • Support multidisciplinary integration and engineering decision‑making.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Must have
  • Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Nuclear, or Process Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain within one year.
  • 8+ years of process engineering experience in nuclear, energy, chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.

  • Experience developing PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOPs, HMBs, process data sheets, and equipment specifications.
  • Experience performing process equipment sizing calculations.
  • Strong understanding of applicable engineering codes and standards.
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Understanding of fabrication, testing, validation, and commissioning of system and equipment.
  • Familiarity with CSA N285, N299, ASME, B51, NBCC, and NFCC is considered an asset.
  • Medical, dental and vision benefits.
  • Competitive paid vacation and sick time.
