Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Process EIT to join the Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver. You will support senior process engineers, develop basic process designs, and perform mass and water balances as part of the design effort.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, strong analytical skills, and a proactive, learning mindset. BC EIT designation and 2–4 years since graduation are preferred; operating/commissioning exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in metallurgy or chemical/mining engineering or equivalent.
• EIT designation in BC is required.
• 2–4 years' post-graduation experience preferred; operating company or commissioning exposure is a plus.
• Flexibility in work assignments and willingness to learn across mining
• Strong written and oral communication; good analytical and problem-solving skills

We are seeking a Process EIT to join the Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver.

About the Role

• Support the senior process engineers in executing process design development and report writing
• Develop basic process engineering designs and drawings under lead supervision
• Perform mass and water balances
• Develop process design criteria

About You

• Degree Qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering or equivalent
• Holding an EIT designation in the Province of BC
• 2-4 years' experience since graduation
• Preference for some experience with an operating company, or commissioning in minerals processing
• Flexibility in terms of work assignments
• Eagerness to learn in different areas of the mining industry
• Hands on approach to engineering design
• Strong analytical skills
• Well-developed written and oral skills
• Demonstrated initiative and ingenuity in providing engineering solutions

Salary range: $75,000-$95,000

Salary isdeterminedby factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
