Job summary

EY is seeking a Tax Manager in Canada to join our Private Tax practice. You will advise private organizations and high net worth owners on domestic and cross-border tax planning, estate and wealth transfer, and postmortem planning.

You will work with our multidisciplinary tax teams to deliver client solutions in a fast-paced, professional services environment. The role emphasizes leadership in tax compliance, strategy development, and collaboration with counsel and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or related major.
• 5+ years of relevant tax experience or equivalent.
• Canadian CPA designation is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Solid organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and implement tax strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Correspond with legal counsel and tax authorities on issues.
• Assist with reorganizations and planning matters.
• Review personal, corporate and trust tax returns.
• Coordinate with audit teams and client stakeholders.
