Job summary

EY is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Global Compliance & Reporting group in Canada. You will work on corporate, personal, trust, and partnership tax assignments, providing timely, high-quality services and mentoring junior staff.

You will apply current tax developments to complex client situations and identify opportunities for tax planning and other advisory services, while upholding the confidentiality of client information.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course completion.
• Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute corporate, personal, trust, and partnership tax assignments including planning, compliance, and provision.
• Provide timely, high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations.
• Coach and mentor junior staff to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Stay up to date on tax developments and apply to complex client situations.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning and other services and contribute to thought leadership.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with client relationships.
