Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking a Private Tax Senior Manager in Canada to lead teams delivering high‑quality tax consulting and compliance for private companies. You will help clients resolve issues, manage tax obligations, and mentor junior professionals across diverse engagements.

The role emphasizes strategic and technical tax risk management with a hybrid work environment. A Canadian CPA or Master’s in Tax with CPA In-Depth coursework is preferred and prior public accounting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hold a Canadian CPA (or CA/other relevant designation) or a Master’s in Tax and have completed Levels I–III of the CPA In-Depth Tax Course as an asset.

Responsibilities

• Cut through ambiguity and turn unstructured problems into clear plans.
• Coach, develop, retain, and mentor junior tax professionals; be the mentor people trust
• Switch seamlessly between big-picture strategy and precision-level detail
• Anticipate stakeholder needs and shape, test, and discuss proactive solutions
• Contribute deep technical tax knowledge to every engagement
• Fuse human insight with technology to deliver smarter, faster results
• Navigate and lead across diverse teams, industries, and complex engagements
• Initiate and lead candid conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust and momentum
• Manage the efficient delivery to tax consulting and compliance engagements to our clients
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
