Job summary

Eve Gross in North York, ON is seeking a responsible Child caregiver – private home to care for children in a live-in setting. The position is permanent, full-time and LMIA-approved, with compensation at $19.00 per hour for 40 hours a week.

The role includes supervising children, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation to activities, and supporting the family on trips. CPR and First Aid certification and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Accompany the family on trips and assist with child supervision.
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Organise activities for children such as games and outings.
• Prepare and serve healthy meals for the family.
• Supervise and care for children.
• Transport children to and from school and appointments.
• Look after the emotional well-being of children.
• Assist children with homework.
