Job description

The Role

We are seeking an exceptional, relationship-driven Private Client Manager to own and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client relationships within Kensington Private Client. This role will be responsible for managing the client relationship from end to end, delivering highly personalized travel planning and ensuring every element of client experience meets Kensington Private Client’s standards.

Sitting at the intersection of client relationship management, travel planning, and service delivery, the Private Client Manager will serve as the client’s single point of contact across the Kensington ecosystem. The role will directly plan and manage individual travel needs, including hotels, air, transfers and other standalone arrangements, while bringing together Kensington’s broader expertise for more complex requests, including bespoke multi-day journeys, villas, yachts, expeditions, and private aviation. Regardless of who fulfills an individual component, the Private Client Manager maintains ownership of the overall relationship and experience.

This role goes beyond traditional travel planning. It requires someone who can build deep, trusted client relationships, anticipate needs, exercise exceptional judgment and maintain rigorous oversight of every detail. The Private Client Manager acts as the final client lens and quality-control layer, reviewing recommendations, itineraries, bookings and handoffs to ensure they reflect the client’s preferences and expectations before they reach the client. Working cross-functionally across Kensington, you will orchestrate the people, products and resources required to make complex travel feel effortless, while ensuring the client experiences one seamless Kensington relationship from first request through return home and beyond.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth households, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor for all travel needs.
  • Build deep, long-term client relationships by understanding individual preferences, priorities, travel patterns and expectations, and proactively anticipating future needs.
  • Plan and manage individual travel arrangements, including hotels, air, transfers and other standalone services, providing thoughtful, highly personalized recommendations.
  • Orchestrate the broader Kensington ecosystem for more complex travel needs, including bespoke land journeys, villas, yachts, expeditions, and private aviation, while maintaining ownership of the overall client relationship.
  • Maintain end-to-end oversight of every client journey, from initial request and planning through booking, travel and post-trip follow-up.
  • Act as the final quality-control layer for client-facing recommendations, itineraries and arrangements, ensuring every detail is accurate, cohesive and aligned with the client’s preferences and Kensington Private Client standards.
  • Proactively manage client communication, expectations, timelines and issues, taking ownership of challenges and coordinating internal teams and external partners through resolution.
  • Maintain comprehensive client profiles and travel histories within Kensington systems, capturing preferences, feedback and relevant household information to continuously personalize the relationship.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen each household’s relationship with Kensington by connecting clients with relevant products and services and increasing Kensington’s share of their overall travel.
  • Collaborate across Kensington teams and external partners to deliver a seamless experience in which the complexity behind the scenes remains invisible to the client.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in luxury travel, hospitality, concierge, private client services or another high-touch luxury environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-value client relationships with a strong understanding of the expectations of HNW and UHNW clientele.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury hotels, destinations and international travel; experience with villas, yachts, private aviation and complex travel is an asset.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, written and verbal communication skills, with a polished and highly professional client presence.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership, with the ability to identify gaps, anticipate needs and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple households, journeys and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong judgment, resourcefulness and composure when resolving complex or time-sensitive client needs.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams while maintaining clear accountability for the client experience.
  • High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential client information.
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of how exceptional service drives client retention, referrals and long-term relationship value.
  • Genuine passion for travel and commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of service.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means becoming an indispensable and trusted advisor to your clients. You know them well enough to anticipate what they need, understand when to manage a request directly and when to bring in Kensington’s specialist expertise, and ensure every detail comes together seamlessly.

Your clients don’t experience separate departments, product lines or handoffs. They experience one relationship with Kensington.

Internally, you are the owner of the household: you know what is happening, what is outstanding, what the client expects and what needs to happen next. You may not personally execute every element, but you oversee the quality of the experience from beginning to end.

We provide a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Employees have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and compensation tied to business and individual performance.

The actual compensation may vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. #LI-Hybrid
