Job summary

Semtech is seeking a Principal NPI Product Engineer to own new product development programs from early silicon development to full production transfer. You will collaborate with Design, Validation, Test, Quality, and Operations teams to drive high-performance optical and analog/mixed-signal IC portfolios in CMOS/BiCMOS technologies.

You will lead characterization, ATE development, and data-driven yield optimization, ensuring product specifications are met and delivered on schedule in a hybrid

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 10+ years in semiconductor product engineering or related roles.
• Proven silicon bring-up and production transfer ownership.
• Hands-on ATE test development and data-driven limit setting.
• Strong DfT/DfM knowledge; cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Own NPI program ownership and cross-functional collaboration from concept to production transfer.
• Define and drive DfT and DfM requirements for NPIs.
• Lead ATE test programs and product characterization across conditions.
• Manage datasheet specs and ATE production test limits through data-driven methods.
• Drive yield analysis, DOE planning, and continuous improvement.
