Job summary

Semtech's NPI Product Engineering team seeks a Sr. NPI Product Engineer to own the product concept through end-of-life, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive program success.

This role focuses on designing high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor IC products in cutting-edge CMOS/BiCMOS technologies, with data rates up to 400Gbps. Reporting to the NPI Manager, you will lead from concept to final product release.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years relevant work experience.
• BSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in semiconductor technology, product, test and/or design engineering.
• Experience with quality systems including corrective actions, 8D reports, non-conformance reports, and failure analysis reports.
• Knowledge and experience with statistical theory and data analysis tools for DOE, yield reporting and modelling.
• Experience in high-speed digital ATE test platforms or equivalent rack solutions is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed serial digital interconnect components and test methodologies.
• Experience with JEDEC, and/or Mil quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from concept through final product release and manufacturing transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.
• Participate in milestone reviews and manage program logistics, timelines, and updates.
• Mentor junior product engineers and prepare manufacturing documentation for production transfer.
• Drive design for testability/manufacturability and support test program development and optimization.
• Oversee product characterization, data analysis, and yield optimization activities.
• Contribute to product validation plans and reliability qualification.
