Overview
Our Finance team is a passionate, high-performing group committed to supporting PowerSchool operations through accurate and timely financial transaction management. The team provides critical business guidance on a broad range of accounting, reporting, and analytical projects, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
ResponsibilitiesDescription
Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to assess business performance. The FP&A team builds reports and forecasts, supporting recommendations that will maximize operational efficiency and ultimately steer our business strategy.
Your day-to-day job will consist of:
- Create ad-hoc analyses, summary and presentations to drive business strategy, improve efficiency and maximize ROI
- Analysis of financial data, create data models, and interpret financial information
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to consolidation, forecasting and reporting
- Develop long-term financial plans that support PowerSchool growth and goals
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating these insights into actionable business strategies.
- Conducting scenario analysis to evaluate the potential impact of various financial strategies and decisions.
- Effectively communicating financial insights and recommendations to business partners, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Utilizing data visualization techniques to present complex financial information in an accessible format for stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Statistics; MBA and CPA a plus but not required
- SaaS experience required
- 7+ years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge/skills in Excel, Adaptive Planning (or similar financial planning software), Salesforce, NetSuite.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, business partners, and team members
- Prepare formal presentations with recommendations and summaries of financial results and forecasted results to executive leadership team, including reporting of Customer organization
- Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once
- Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Driven to achieve highest levels of data quality and accuracy

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $120,200 - $160,200 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; specific geographic location; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
