Job summary

Semtech Ottawa is seeking an IC System Architect to drive system-level feasibility and define a circuit-level architecture. You will collaborate with analog, digital, and firmware engineers to ensure the design meets application requirements from feasibility through implementation.

The role focuses on mapping requirements to IC blocks, optimizing power, performance, and cost, and developing on-chip calibration algorithms for high-speed networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years direct industry experience in IC development for high-speed communications systems.
• Expertise in high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Solid understanding of linear and nonlinear channel simulation techniques.
• Deep knowledge of signal equalization and clock-and-data recovery for wideband, multi-gigabit systems.

Job Summary:

The IC System Architect is an integral part of the integrated circuit design team. Working in close collaboration with analog, digital, firmware design engineers, they are responsible for aiding in the initial feasibility analysis and fabrication process selection. The individual follows the design through to defining a circuit level architecture and verifying the evolving implementation continues to meet the application requirements.
