NORR Architects Engineers Planners is seeking a Principal/Director, Major Projects to lead delivery of our most complex programs in Canada. You will guide senior teams, mentor project leaders, and influence delivery standards across the firm.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience leading large, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Professional designation preferred (Architect, PMP, PE or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering complex projects with financial, risk and stakeholder complexity.
  • Ability to mentor Senior Project Managers and technical leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of large-scale, complex projects from pursuit through completion.
  • Provide executive oversight of project delivery, performance, quality, contractual commitments, and risk.
  • Partner with Practice Leaders and Studio Managers to strengthen project delivery.
  • Advance project delivery standards and governance as a Centre of Excellence member.
  • Build trusted client relationships and support strategic pursuits with delivery expertise.

Serving as a senior project delivery leader and Centre of Excellence member, you will influence how projects are delivered across the sector and organization, while mentoring the next generation of project and technical leaders.

You Will Make an Impact by
  • Leading the successful delivery of large scale and complex projects from pursuit through completion.
  • Providing executive oversight of sector project delivery, performance, quality, contractual commitments, and managing risk.
  • Partnering with Practice Leaders, Operations, and Studio Managers to strengthen project delivery excellence across the organization.
  • Advancing project delivery standards, governance, and best practices as a member of the Centre of Excellence.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders, strengthening long-term partnerships through exceptional project outcomes.
  • Supporting strategic pursuits by contributing project delivery expertise during planning, client presentations, and interviews.
You will Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional designation preferred (e.g., Architect, PMP, Professional Engineer, or equivalent industry certification).
  • 15+ years of progressive experience leading large, multidisciplinary projects within an Architecture, Engineering, or professional services environment.
  • Proven success delivering projects involving significant technical, financial, risk, and stakeholder complexity.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor Senior Project Managers and technical leaders while leading through collaboration and influence.

The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as education, experience, internal equity and skills.
