Job summary

NORR, an employee-owned integrated Architecture and Engineering firm, seeks a Principal, Structural Engineering to lead delivery of complex projects across Canada, the US, and the UK. You will mentor leaders, shape delivery standards, and build enduring client partnerships while guiding strategic pursuits.

The role emphasizes leadership, risk management, and collaboration with Practice Leaders, Operations and Studio Managers to elevate project outcomes and practice excellence.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Eng or M.Eng.
• Knowledge of architectural design and presentation; M&E and structural building systems, permit and building codes.
• Membership with a relevant professional association is an asset.
• Experience in strategic development, business development, project management and client management is required.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, flexibility and resourcefulness.
• 12-15 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of large-scale and complex projects from pursuit through completion.
• Provide executive oversight of sector project delivery, performance, quality, contractual commitments, and risk management.
• Partner with Practice Leaders, Operations and Studio Managers to strengthen project delivery excellence.
• Advance project delivery standards, governance and best practices as a Centre of Excellence member.
• Build trusted client relationships and strengthen long-term partnerships through outcomes.
• Support strategic pursuits with project delivery expertise during planning and client interactions.

As a Principal, Structural Engineering, you will lead the successful delivery of our most complex and large-scale projects. Serving as a senior project delivery leader and Centre of Excellence member, you will influence how projects are delivered across the sector and organization, while mentoring the next generation of project and technical leaders.

The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as education, experience, internal equity and skills.
