Job summary

Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a part-time Primary Care Physician to provide onsite and call-back services to our federal client in Truro, NS.

The physician must hold a valid license in good standing and have at least six months of primary care experience within the last two years. Tasks include documentation in EMR/EHR, prescribing per formulary, and participating in compliance processes.

Qualifications

• Valid medical license in good standing and certificate of professional conduct from the provincial college.
• At least 6 months of primary care experience within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated primary care services onsite and via call-back for the client.
• Document all encounters in EMR/EHR with progress notes, assessments and treatments.
• Prescribe medications per client formulary.
• Participate in grievance, investigation and human rights procedures as needed.
• Provide call-back services and telephone consultations.

Job description

Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a part-time Primary Care Physician with a minimum of 6 months within the last 2 years of cumulative clinical experience to provide onsite and call-back services to our federal client in Truro, NS.

TASKS

• Provide integrated, trauma informed, culturally appropriate Primary Care health services to patients
• Document all patient encounters in the EMR/EHR, including, but not limited to: all progress notes, assessment, treatments and consultations
• Prescribe medications according to the client's drug formulary
• Participate in grievance, investigation, and human rights complaints processes, or court proceedings that may include a review of the Physician's documentation
• Provide call-back services and telephone consultations

QUALIFICATIONS

The Physician must possess:

• A valid license in good standing from the relevant provincial licensing body and provide a certificate of professional conduct issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons, including any judgements or restrictions
• A minimum of six (6) months experience in providing primary care in the last two (2) years
